How to Get Rolling Sparks in Shadow of the Erdtree (Ash of War Location)

Rolling Sparks is a Perfume Bottle Ash of War in Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree. You get it by killing a flying scarab on the eastern side of the large camp south of Shadow Keep. Climb the hill past the Perfumers and you'll see it floating in the air at the top. It sends a trail of perfumed powder ahead of you that bursts into rolling explosions, and the element depends on the perfume bottle you use.

Where is Rolling Sparks in Shadow of the Erdtree?

1. Head to the large camp south of Shadow Keep.
2. Go to the eastern side of the camp and climb the hill past the Perfumers.
3. At the top, look up: a scarab is floating in the air.
4. Kill it with a ranged attack or a jump attack to get the Ash of War.

What does Rolling Sparks do?

It scatters perfumed powder in front of you, triggering rolling explosions of sparks. The trail is made of several hitboxes, so large enemies get hit many times. Each explosion deals some stance damage too. If the trail hits a wall or the ground early, it stops releasing explosions, so use it on open ground.

The element comes from the bottle. For example, on the Frenzyflame Perfume Bottle it deals fire damage and builds madness.

Was Rolling Sparks changed in a patch?

Yes. Patch 1.12.3 fixed a bug that made it deal more damage than intended, and another that made it deal no damage with some special effects active. Expect the current, corrected damage.

How do you use Rolling Sparks in a Perfumer build?

A common setup is a Perfume Bottle in each hand: one with Rolling Sparks for long lines of damage, the other with a different Ash of War for close range. Check the bottle's element against the enemy you're facing.
