The Golem Fist is a rare drop in Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree. It comes from the stone-throwing Golem Smiths in Taylew's Ruined Forge, with only about a 3% chance per kill, so expect to farm. It's worth it: as a Smithscript weapon, its strong attacks throw the whole fist at enemies for no FP.

Where is Taylew's Ruined Forge?

It's in the north of the map, with its entrance northwest of Shadow Keep. To get there:

  1. Travel past the lake near Moorth Ruins in Scadu Altus and head east to a small lake.
  2. Go through the small tunnel into a cave, exit right into a swamp, and head for the large gap in the mountain wall.
  3. Activate the Ancient Ruins Base (Rauh Base) site of grace.
  4. Follow the trail north through a small army camp. The forge entrance is just past some enemies, marked by lit braziers.

How do you farm the Golem Fist?

Only the Golem Smiths that throw stones can drop it. A quicker route: once the first two Golems spot you, drop to the lower floor, kill the Living Magma, lure the nearest Golem so it falls down too, then climb back up and fight the Golem that drops the fist. Rest at a site of grace to respawn them and repeat. Raising your item discovery (Arcane, or items like the Silver Scarab) helps.

What does the Golem Fist do?

Its strong attacks launch the entire fist straight ahead as a projectile, at no FP cost, and it comes straight back to your hand. Two-handing throws both fists. It scales with Strength, plus a little Dexterity, Intelligence and Faith, and can take Ashes of War (except weapon buffs). The Smithing Talisman boosts its strong attacks by 10%, and patch 1.13 added a damage hitbox to the thrown hand.

What else is in Taylew's Ruined Forge?

The forge also holds the Smithscript Axe, Greathammer and Shield, plus two Ancient Dragon Smithing Stones, a Somber Smithing Stone [8] and the Taylew the Golem Smith spirit ash.
