QSSR (Quick Spectral Super Resolution) is Sony's AI upscaling for the standard PS5. It's a lighter, faster version of the PS5 Pro's PSSR that improves image detail and stability in supported games.

Which games support QSSR?

Marvel's Wolverine and Ghost of Yōtei, both patched on October 1, 2026. Sony is offering QSSR to all PlayStation developers, but no other games have been announced yet.

Is QSSR the same as PSSR?

No. PSSR is the full AI upscaler on PS5 Pro and remains Sony's best. QSSR uses a streamlined neural network tuned for the standard PS5, so it's faster but less accurate.

Does QSSR work on PS5 Pro?

QSSR is designed for the standard PS5. The PS5 Pro keeps using PSSR, which Sony calls the gold standard.

How do I turn on QSSR?

Update a supported game. QSSR is an option in each game's graphics settings, and it's reported to be on by default in Marvel's Wolverine and Ghost of Yōtei on PS5.

Yes. It arrives through free game updates; there's nothing to buy.
