How many copies has DayZ Badlands sold?

More than 325,500 in week one, across Steam, PlayStation and Xbox. In its "Thank you, Survivors!" post, Bohemia said the success wasn't just sales but also the amount of community content, "opening up more doors and opportunities for DayZ and its community".

How many people are playing DayZ?

Bohemia's post says DayZ reached a peak of more than 435,500 concurrent players during the launch period. Note that the infographic in the same post labels the figure "peak of daily active players", so it may count everyone who played on a single day rather than everyone online at once. Either way, it's a huge number for a 2018 game.

What is Bohemia fixing next in DayZ?

  • The first patch is already out. Some modding and community issues came with it, and Bohemia is changing its process so future patches roll out more smoothly, and improving communication with server owners and modders.
  • A hotfix for crashes and other urgent Badlands problems was due on Experimental from Thursday, October 29, then on Stable the following week.
  • A second patch will fix more issues and adjust some DayZ Badlands features.
  • More dev blogs are coming, for Badlands and general updates.

Is the DayZ Halloween event still on?

Yes. The Halloween event started on October 26 on Chernarus, Livonia and Sakhal, on Steam, PlayStation and Xbox. Our DayZ Halloween guide has everything in it. Bohemia also plans a Christmas event, its last seasonal event of the year, with details later.
