Enshrouded Patch 1.0.1.0 Patch Notes: Bosses Stop Healing Mid-Fight, Wand Exploit Fixed and Sprint Toggle Added
Enshrouded Patch 1.0.1.0 stops bosses healing during ranged fights, fixes the Dragon Youngling loot bug, nerfs a wand exploit and adds a sprint toggle.

Enshrouded Patch 1.0.1.0, the first patch since the survival RPG's 1.0 launch, went live on November 2. Keen Games' long list of fixes starts with a frustrating one: bosses no longer reset and heal during ranged fights, the Dragon Youngling now dies properly (and drops its loot), and a wand attack-speed exploit has been closed. It also adds a sprint toggle, cheaper mage abilities, extra food near the start, and a long list of Sparkworks and UI fixes.

What does Enshrouded Patch 1.0.1.0 change for bosses?
- No more healing mid-fight: bosses now stay in combat longer after being attacked, even when you're far away. Before, ranged fights against bosses like the Fell Monstrosity could see the boss start recovering health while you were still shooting it.
- Dragon Youngling: fixed a state where it was defeated but didn't trigger its proper death. Keen's note: "What is dead may never die something something give me my loot!"
- Wispwyvern and its undead version can now be targeted properly by totem spells and summons, and their artillery visuals are fixed.
- Boss music no longer stops while a fight is still going.
- Ancient S.P.D.R. Constructs are harder to lure into spots where they forget how to move or attack, and the shielded Ancient Construct now has phases with its shield on cooldown.

What changed for mages and combat in Enshrouded 1.0.1.0?
- Wand attack speed can no longer be boosted by animation-cancelling each shot with a block.
- Wand Evasion Attack costs less mana, and the Aerial Wand Attack now costs 40 mana instead of stamina.
- Whirlwind Crescendo costs less stamina.
- Lupa's scalper daggers now enable the riposte kick.
- Chain Heal no longer heals enemy Hollow skeletons.
- Less poison damage from the Fell Vinebloom's area attack, a smaller blast from Scavenger proximity mines, and smaller Fell mini critters that no longer block arrows.
- Elite flying critters give more XP, and enemies whose level didn't match their region have been fixed.
Our Enshrouded mage guide covers the wand skills these changes affect.
What quality-of-life changes are in the patch?
- Sprint can be set to toggle in the keyboard and mouse settings.
- Extra food on the path before and in the first cave, so new players don't starve, and purple berries are easier to spot.
- Looting no longer sometimes needs two interactions, and fewer Fell enemies drop nothing (another fix is planned).
- Water wheels turn properly in moving water, and the axe snaps to trees better.
- Recipe tweaks: crab cakes accept any milk, the goo recipe also unlocks from Shroud mushrooms in Revelwoods, and big farm animal beds use any wood.
- Two more craftable lore weapons, and the Ashwind Strider and Sky Specter armor names are no longer swapped.

Does Patch 1.0.1.0 fix Sparkworks and the UI?
Yes. Sparkworks enemy spawners no longer spawn the wrong enemies, Sparkworks props can't be destroyed by attacks (only dismantled), the tutorial opens at the right workbench, and the workbench now shows in the workshops overview. UI fixes include chatting while fast travelling, "is new" markers that wouldn't clear, better factory sorting in the base overview, a clearer building Finetune Mode, grey health bars for destructible objects, and a main-menu link to news on enshrouded.com. Survivors got voice, animation and greeting fixes too, and world names can be as long as in Early Access again.
How many people are playing Enshrouded?
About 37,750 were playing on Steam when we checked on November 2. Enshrouded is $39.99 / £34.99 / €39.99 and became Steam Deck Verified after 1.0, Keen Games said on October 23.
