Once Human Isles of Abyss Fixes: Voyager Loot Crates Changed, Overweight Boats Can Steer and Every Patch So Far

Starry Studio has been patching Once Human Isles of Abyss almost every day since the ocean scenario launched on October 21, and the latest fix, on November 2, lets overweight boats steer again. The biggest change so far came on October 29: sinking a Voyager ship now drops loot crates anyone can pick up, so you no longer lose your rewards if a ship goes down before you reach the cabin. Here's every 3.1.1 fix so far, what's changed for you, and the items being sent out by mail as compensation.

What changed with Voyager loot in Once Human?

Players reported that in the Voyager mode on the Isles of Abyss, other players could loot the wreckage of a sunk ship, and ships were sometimes deliberately sunk before the loot crates were collected. From October 29, sinking a Voyager ship drops Voyager Loot Crates that anyone can pick up. If you didn't grab the crate in the cabin before the ship sank, you can still get it afterwards. Starry's warning: rewards disappear after 2 minutes, so pick them up quickly. The same day fixed rewards vanishing after the Ghost Ship triggered its mod guarantee.

Can overweight boats steer in Once Human now?

Yes. From November 2, a boat weighing 10,000 kg or more keeps some steering, so it shouldn't get stuck unable to turn. The same fix lets you hit Bubble Fish again. Fixes go live around 05:00 PT (13:00 GMT), and Starry says the actual time may vary.

Why aren't my Tech enhancements working in Once Human?

Starry explained on October 26 that it isn't a bug. A Tech enhancement you unlock in a scenario only applies to facilities, tools and items you build, craft or get afterwards. It doesn't upgrade things you already had before unlocking it, so rebuild or re-craft them to get the bonus.

What other Isles of Abyss bugs have been fixed?

• Ships: lag and rollback when walking on a moving ship, ships lifting off and getting stuck (now reset automatically), auto-repair facilities that stopped working once damaged, and climbing onto ships in first person.
• Quests and story: the missing first main story task, the "Head to a New Area" task on custom servers, and an underwater lab door in the Ruins Archive monthly report.
• Gathering: Drilling Wells in crude oil areas, Polluted Water and Stardust Ore production in the third Haywire Zone during Black Tide, the Advanced Trawl's snapping, inaccurate water readings in the west, and more Precision Gear Sets in the wild.
• RaidZone: Alpha Elite respawn times and missing memetics on custom servers.
• Combat: Precision Load and Turret Enhancement mods not working at some levels.
• Other: vending machine withdrawals, the walkman's silent songs, crashes, loading-screen hangs after teleporting to the water platform, and several mobile issues.

What compensation is Once Human sending?

• Formula: Smiling Pumpkin Lantern for players who bought the furniture in the Wish Bazaar but didn't get the formula (within 3 business days of October 30).
• Formula: Camping Chair for Frontline Dispatch Premium Pack buyers who got the Red Velvet Armchair formula by mistake (within 3 business days of October 26).
• The Deviations you originally chose (H37 Submarine Attitude, Space Turner Water Cube) if the gift box gave the wrong ones.
• Blind Box attempts lost when Halloween Wonder Night progress didn't carry across seasons.
