What maps are in Modern Warfare 4 Season 1?
- Backstab (launch): a new, medium-sized 6v6 map in a war-torn setting with bad weather.
- Canyon (launch): a new, medium-sized 6v6 map among towering rock walls.
- Shoot House (launch): reimagined against the rugged terrain of North Korea in light snowfall.
- Kill Block: Crash: a Kill Block with Crash always front and center.
- Mid-season: Ministry, Overflow (a factory and farmland with rocket launchers firing in the distance) and more still classified.

What modes are new?
Infected and Possession arrived before the season. At launch you get Grind, Drop Zone and Gauntlet 1v1 as part of the Wager Match Event, with more modes from mid-season.
What is X01 in DMZ?
X01 is a former Russian facility on the edge of Hajin, now held by North Korean forces. You search cargo bays and vehicle depots, go down to underground labs and production lines, and try to reach the sealed Deep Vault. The facility closes off extraction points as it tries to remove you, so know where your nearest exfil is. Activision has kept new enemies and items classified.
- Bosses: Commanders include The Captain, a Juggernaut with an elite guard, and a patrolling Wheelson. Lieutenants are Tae-Hyun ("Knuckle") and Chol-Min ("The Wrench").
- Threat Briefing events: hunt the Battle Tank in Hajin or The Captain in X01, and exfil with parts for rewards.
- Resupply Run: find items and trade them for Self Revives and 3-Plate Carriers.
What are the new weapons in Season 1?
- Cronen Osprey (launch): a 5.56 assault rifle at 882 RPM, unlocked at Battle Pass Tier 16. Its Helix Mk. II Apex Attachment fires on both trigger pull and release.
- CSG-35 (launch): an SMG at 1,200 RPM, at Battle Pass Tier 36. Its CSG Crossfire Apex Attachment makes it akimbo.
- JAK 12 (in-season): a full-auto shotgun from an event, with sticky explosive rounds through its JAK Barrage attachment.
- ZLR Talonhawk (in-season): a melee combat axe from an event.
What's in the Season 1 Battle Pass?
A 100-tier linear track with Blueprints, Operator Skins, Calling Cards, Finishing Moves and Emotes across free and premium tiers. The premium pass guarantees 50+ rewards, and BlackCell or the Vault Edition adds more. New Operators are Blix and BlackCell Agent XERO.
