When is the Zombie Assault: Resurgence release date?
Zombie Assault: Resurgence launches on October 28, 2026, according to its Steam page. Ninja Kiwi hasn't announced an unlock time or price yet.
What platforms is Zombie Assault: Resurgence on?
The Steam version runs on Windows and Mac. Ninja Kiwi's official site also has pre-registration buttons for iOS and Android, and the Steam page lists cross-platform multiplayer. No PlayStation, Xbox or Switch version has been announced.
What is Zombie Assault: Resurgence about?
The game is set 100 years after the New Dawn Protocol. The citizens of New Aartis live peacefully under the United Systems Initiative (USI), and a group of mercenaries keeps order across the sector. Then a strange energy source is discovered, and the undead come back stronger than before.
You take contracts as one of these mercs: story missions to uncover what's behind the resurgence, special operations with their own objectives, and a bounty board with extra challenges. Vendors offer unique weapons once you raise your reputation with them, and a mid-mission supply drop can deliver a powerful weapon when things go wrong.

What classes are in Zombie Assault: Resurgence?
There are three classes: Assault, Heavy and Medic. Each has:
- 6 core and 6 class-specific skills to choose and upgrade
- 3 activated abilities that can turn a fight
- 2 speciality branches, each unlocking extra skills and activated abilities
How do weapons and loot work?
You earn Strongboxes to unlock weapons and armor. Loadouts can include more than 60 primary and secondary weapons, armor, grenades and turrets. A crafting system lets you improve and modify gear, and you can sell or dismantle spare weapons for resources.

Is there a Zombie Assault: Resurgence demo?
Yes. The demo was part of Steam Next Fest in February 2026, and Ninja Kiwi says the community completed its global kill-count challenge. Everyone who took part that week will get the exclusive Morlok Frostbite Pistol when the game launches.
Is Zombie Assault: Resurgence related to SAS: Zombie Assault 4?
It's from the same studio and continues the Zombie Assault name. Ninja Kiwi's earlier SAS: Zombie Assault 4 is also on Steam. Resurgence has a new story set 100 years after the New Dawn Protocol, new classes and a reworked loot and crafting system.
