What is Echoes of Central Park about?

Ubisoft says the story takes inspiration from horror. Citizens of the Upper West Side are gripped by paranoia, people are turning up dead or missing, and there are rumours of a new virus variant, all centerd on something in the shadows of Central Park. It's told as a flashback, with a narrator guiding you through her version of events. The park was a mass burial ground during the outbreak and is now home to a new apex threat. It's set in the summer after Warlords of New York.

Who are the companions?

You earn their trust by uncovering their backstories, and one can fight beside you at a time:

  • Brayleigh Callahan (Sniper): an MIT graduate and Olympic medallist in shooting.
  • Elwood Franklin (Protector): a former mall cop who wants to join the NYPD.
  • Morse Feeney (Assault): a veteran and former first-wave Division agent with a mysterious past.

Replay missions with a different companion for new dialogue.

What's in the DLC after the story?

A new endgame in Central Park with fresh challenges and rewards, a new Gear Set, The Ratel Exotic weapon and six new Skill Variants. The DLC also includes a Level 40 Boost and a stash expansion. The Deluxe Edition adds three companion-inspired outfits and a skin for The Ratel.

When does The Division 2 get crossplay?

It's rolling out in three steps:

  • November 3: crossplay icons and interface changes appear, but you can't play across platforms yet.
  • November 10: PC players move to the new servers, and PC leaderboards reset.
  • November 17: PlayStation and Xbox join, and crossplay goes live on all three. It's on by default, and you can turn it off at character selection.

Clans grow from 50 to 100 members. A Clan moves when its first member joins the new servers, and places are reserved for other members for three months under the current plan. If a name clashes, a number is added for the original platform (PC #2, Xbox #3, PlayStation #4).

How much is Echoes of Central Park?

The DLC is $19.99 / £17.99 / €19.99 on Steam, and the Deluxe Edition is $29.99 / £24.99 / €29.99. You also need The Division 2, which was 75% off at $7.49 / £6.24 / €7.49 on Steam when we checked on November 4 (normally $29.99 / £24.99 / €29.99).
