How does Frost work in Black Myth: Wukong?

Frost attacks build up your Frost gauge. When it fills, the Destined One becomes Chilled and takes frost damage over time. There's also a chance to become Frozen, and while you're frozen, enemy hits deal extra damage. That's what makes cold-element bosses so punishing.

How do you cure Frost?

  • Body-Warming Powder: instantly removes Chilled and greatly raises Chill Resistance for a short time. Use it before a cold boss's big attacks, not just after.
  • Dodge: if you're Frozen, dodging breaks you out.

How do you get Body-Warming Powder?

  • Craft it from 1 Fire Bellflower and 1 Jade Lotus.
  • Buy it from Xu Dog.

Collect Fire Bellflowers and Jade Lotus whenever you see them, so you always have a few powders ready for cold areas.

Tips for cold-element fights

  • Use Body-Warming Powder before the fight or ahead of a boss's frost combo for the resistance boost.
  • Keep your dodge ready. Breaking out of Frozen quickly saves you from the extra damage.
  • Stock up on the other powders too, as many late bosses mix elements.
