Wildsite launches in Steam Early Access on 5 November 2026. It's a sci-fi open-world survival game from two-person indie team Vividdi Entertainment, and its big idea is the Shrink Device: build a base, pack the whole thing up with everything inside, and redeploy it anywhere. You can play solo or in online co-op, and a free demo is on Steam.

When is the Wildsite release date?

5 November 2026. Vividdi announced it on 5 October with a nod to Bonfire Night ("Remember, remember, the 5th of November"). The game was part of Steam Next Fest from 19 October.

What makes Wildsite different?

  • Take your base with you: design your base however you like, then shrink it, contents and all, and redeploy it instantly somewhere else.
  • Grappling Grenade: throw it across any distance or up to impossible heights and catapult yourself there. Miss the throw and gravity reminds you it exists.
  • Resource grenades: special grenades burst into resources you can mine with your Multitool.
  • Crafting: from a basic Stone Axe up to sci-fi tech, at different crafting stations.
  • Hunting: hunt local predators for meat and cook it, while the wildlife hunts you back.

What are plasma storms in Wildsite?

High-energy atmospheric events trigger lethal radiation storms. When one hits, you need shelter fast, or you pop A-Rad pills to prevent cell damage. The demo added an on-screen Plasma Storm warning.

Who is BOB in Wildsite?

BOB is your virtual sidekick: a sarcastic, peanut-shaped space cowboy in a hat who monitors your vitals, judges your aim and considers you a "meat bag". Players asked, so the demo update added a menu option to mute him.

What changed in the latest Wildsite demo?

Demo v0.610.09 lets you sprint with your weapon drawn, added the Grappling Grenade, overhauled weapon hitboxes (especially the spear), shows ammo counts on the hotbar, improved controller navigation and added an "Unstuck" option.

What are the Wildsite PC requirements?

Minimum: Windows 10 64-bit, Intel Core i5-8400 or AMD Ryzen 5 2600, 8 GB of RAM and a GeForce GTX 1060 or Radeon RX 580. Steam also lists Linux. No console versions have been announced.
