These terms explain the rules for using igamemag.com. Please read them. By using the website you agree to them; if you don't agree, please don't use the site. Nothing in these terms affects your legal rights as a consumer.

Who we are

igamemag.com ("iGame Magazine", "we", "us") is an independent, non-profit publication run by David Ware in London, England. You can contact us at [email protected].

Using the website

You're welcome to read, share and link to our articles. When using the site, please don't:

  • break the law, or help anyone else to;
  • try to hack, overload, scrape at scale or otherwise interfere with the site or its security;
  • copy our articles wholesale or republish them as your own (short quotes with a link back are fine);
  • use the site to send spam, malware or anything abusive.

The site is free to use and has no user accounts. It's written for a general audience; if you're under 13, please read it with a parent or guardian's permission.

Our content and who owns it

The articles, reviews, guides, page designs and the iGame Magazine name and logo are owned by David Ware, unless stated otherwise. You may share links to our articles and quote short extracts with a credit and a link back to the original. For anything more, such as republishing a full article, please ask us first.

Game names, logos, screenshots, key art and trailers belong to their publishers and developers. We use them to report on and review games, with credit (for example "Image: Bandai Namco"). If you own material on the site and believe it's been used incorrectly, email us and we'll review it promptly and remove it if appropriate.

Accuracy of information

We work hard to get things right and base our reporting on official sources, as explained in our Editorial Policy. But games change: release dates move, prices change, and features are added or removed. That includes the dates on our Release Radar and in its calendar feeds, which we update when official dates change. Our articles are for general information only, so please check important details (such as a price or a release date) with the official source before you rely on them. If you spot a mistake, tell us and we'll correct it.

Scored reviews and opinion pieces reflect the honest view of the writer at the time of writing. Critics' roundups summarise what other publications have said and are clearly labelled as roundups, and first looks cover products we haven't fully tested.

Things you send us

If you send us a news tip, correction, comment or other material, you confirm it's yours to share and isn't unlawful. You let us use it to check and report the story, and to publish it (or a quote from it) if you've indicated you're happy for it to be published, with credit if you ask for it. You keep ownership of anything you send. Comments are currently closed on our articles.

Our articles link to other websites, such as game stores, publishers' sites, trailers and social media, so you can find out more. We don't control those sites and aren't responsible for their content, prices, availability or privacy practices. A link isn't an endorsement. We don't earn money from any links on iGame Magazine.

Availability

We aim to keep the site available and secure, but it's provided free and we can't promise it will always be available or error-free. We may change, pause or remove any part of the site at any time.

Our responsibility to you

iGame Magazine is a free information website, so we are not responsible for any loss or damage you suffer from using it, or from relying on information on it, except where the law does not allow us to exclude or limit our liability. In particular, nothing in these terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for anything else that cannot be limited or excluded under the laws of England and Wales.

Privacy and cookies

How we handle personal data is explained in our Privacy Policy, and the cookies we use, and your choices, are explained in our Cookie Policy. You can change your cookie choices at any time using Cookie settings.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time, for example when the site changes. The date below shows when they were last updated. The version on this page at the time you use the site is the one that applies.

Law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. If there's a dispute, the courts of England and Wales will have jurisdiction, but if you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland you can also bring proceedings in your local courts, and if you live elsewhere in the EU you keep the protection of the mandatory consumer laws of your country. If you have a problem, please contact us first so we can try to sort it out.
