Indie Spotlight FAQ

What is Indie Spotlight?

Indie Spotlight is our section for smaller games from independent studios and solo developers: new releases, demos, Early Access launches and big updates. Most of the games we feature were sent to us by their developers.

How do I get my indie game featured?

Email [email protected] and start the subject line with "Indie Spotlight:". Include your Steam or store page, your trailer, your release date and a press kit or screenshots if you have them. You can also find our other contact details on our contact page.

Does it cost anything to be featured?

No. Being featured is free, and nobody can pay to be included. We don't run sponsored posts or adverts, and we don't use affiliate links.

Are Indie Spotlight articles reviews?

No. A spotlight introduces a game; it isn't a verdict. We write from official sources such as the Steam page, the developer's own posts and trailers, we make clear which details come from the developer, and we mention it if a game uses AI-generated content.

Will you cover every game I send?

We read every email, but we can't promise to cover every game. We're especially keen on survival games and shooters, but any indie game is welcome. If we write about yours, we'll email you the link.

Can I share or link to my spotlight article?

Yes, please do. You're welcome to share it on your Steam page, social accounts, website or press kit.
