The Nomad Drive release date is Tuesday, 27 October 2026 on Steam. Indie Devil's post-apocalyptic road-trip survival game puts you in a rundown RV that you repair, upgrade and live in, solo or with up to three friends in online co-op.

It arrives a week later than first planned. Nomad Drive was due on 20 October, but the developer pulled the date when its build was still waiting in Steam's review queue during Next Fest.

When is the Nomad Drive release date?

Nomad Drive launches on 27 October 2026, according to its Steam store page. Indie Devil hasn't posted an exact unlock time yet, so keep an eye on the Steam page on the day.

Why was Nomad Drive delayed?

In an 18 October post on Steam, Indie Devil explained that its release build had been submitted to Steam for review weeks earlier, but the review queue was much busier than usual around Steam Next Fest. Rather than lock in a new fixed date it couldn't change, the studio worked with Steam Support to remove the 20 October date. It promised the game would "definitely release in the last week of October" and that the date "will not slip past the end of October". The store now lists 27 October.

What is Nomad Drive?

Nomad Drive is a survival game set in a procedurally generated post-apocalyptic world, so every new game starts somewhere different. You begin with a rundown RV, then drive through shifting biomes, each with its own climate and ecosystem, scavenging abandoned locations and roads for resources.

The RV is your base. You repair and upgrade each part, and personalise everything from the stove and fridge to the toilet and seats. Indie Devil says every part is fully interactive. Survival means cooking, fishing, repairing and even making coffee, and you can grow fruit and vegetables in pots from seeds you find on the road.

Does Nomad Drive have co-op?

Yes. Nomad Drive supports 1–4 player online co-op, and a single-player mode was added in a June update. That update also rebuilt voice chat from scratch, improved hosting and joining, and fixed problems for players who join a game already in progress.

Earlier patches added a fail-safe so the last player standing doesn't die completely, and let you revive dead teammates without special items.

Is there a Nomad Drive demo?

Yes. A free demo is on Steam, and Indie Devil updated it several times in June with performance fixes, survival balance changes (food spoilage, hunger and thirst rates) and smoother multiplayer driving.
