The fastest way to get Dog Coins in Palworld is to hunt Mimogs, the chest-shaped Pals that drop 14 to 21 coins each when you defeat or capture them. You can also find Dog Coins in junkyards, salvage spots, Elemental Treasure Chests, Ancient Ruins and from beating base raids. Spend them at the Medal Merchant, who stands in four abandoned churches. Here's every source and what to buy.

How do you farm Dog Coins from Mimogs?

Mimog is a Neutral Pal that looks like a treasure chest with ears. Defeat or capture a wild one and it drops Dog Coins, with Mimogs in higher-level areas dropping more. Two things to know:

  • Don't butcher them. Mimogs never give Dog Coins when butchered, so breeding them to farm coins doesn't work.
  • Bring Katress or Blazehowl Noct. Having either in your party makes Mimogs drop more Dog Coins.

A captured Mimog is useful too: its partner skill, Master of Unlocking, opens treasure chests without a key.

Where else can you find Dog Coins?

  • Junkyards: a good chance of Dog Coins, with more in higher-level areas. Remember where they spawn.
  • Salvage spots: both basic and advanced spots can give them, advanced ones far more. Take Jellroy along to greatly increase what you get.
  • Ancient Ruins: always contain Dog Coins, but each ruin can only be looted once.
  • Elemental Treasure Chests and base raids also reward them.

Where is the Medal Merchant in Palworld?

The Medal Merchant wears a golden robe and appears at four abandoned churches:

  • Desolate Church: near the entrance (63, -412)
  • Isle of Silence Church Ruins: near the back (-454, -12)
  • Marsh Island Church Ruins: inside (401, -273)
  • Sea Breeze Archipelago Church: inside (-72, -551)

What can you buy with Dog Coins?

  • Accessory boxes: Mysterious Accessory Box (50) and Mystic Accessory Box (300).
  • Pal hats: Cattiva, Lamball, Cawgnito, Dumud, Sibelyx, Lyleen, Gloopie and Jelliette (25 each).
