Magic Merchant Simulator is a first-person crafting and shopkeeping game from OZN Game Studio where you build your own magic shop, make everything by hand and sell it to the students of a nearby academy. You grow ingredients, brew potions, carve wands, assemble brooms and decorate your shop. It's coming to PC on Steam, with no release date or demo yet.

This is an Indie Spotlight, not a review: we haven't played it. Here's what the developer has shown and told us.

What do you do in Magic Merchant Simulator?

  • Build your workshop: buy workbenches, decide where they go, arrange decorations and name your shop. Each new workbench unlocks more things to make.
  • Craft by hand: carve, file and polish a wand handle, stir a cauldron with your mouse and bottle the potion, assemble brooms, pour candles, prepare quills and bind books.
  • Grow your garden: sow seeds, draw water from the well, tend your plants and turn the harvest into potions and dyes, unlocking more planting space as you go.
  • Keep the students supplied: stock shelves and watch the academy's weekly classes and events, which change prices and create new opportunities.

Does Magic Merchant Simulator use AI?

The Steam page says generative AI tools helped with a limited part of the game's user interface content, the store copy and promotional artwork. It's all prepared in advance: the game doesn't generate AI content while you play or connect to AI services.
