How to Defeat the Sabertooth in Soulmask: All 3 Saber-toothed Predator Fights

To defeat the Sabertooth in Soulmask, you summon the Saber-toothed Predator at the Rainforest Pyramid in the Northern Rainforest by crafting its token at the central altar. There are three versions: Fierce (level 20), Berserk (level 40) and of Doom (level 60). Each needs stronger offerings and drops better loot. All three hit fast and stack bleed, so bring bandages. Here's what each one needs and how to beat it.

Where is the Sabertooth in Soulmask?

All three are summoned in front of the Rainforest Pyramid in the Northern Rainforest. Gather the offerings, craft the boss's token at the central altar, and the fight begins straight away.

What gear do you need?

For the first fight, wear at least Beast Hide gear and use Beast Bone weapons. Fast weapons like dual blades, a spear or gauntlets work best, though any weapon can do it. Most importantly, carry Simple or Premium Bandages: they heal you and clear the bleed stacks the boss keeps applying.

How do you beat the Sabertooth?

• Expect an instant attack. It roars and charges almost as soon as it's summoned.
• Never turn your back. It runs around the arena, pounces and retreats quickly.
• Open at range, then go in. Start with a spear or bow to soak the first rush, then switch to fast melee. Staying at range the whole time makes the fight drag on.
• Bandage early. Don't let bleed stacks pile up. Step back and heal as soon as they build.
• Dodge its pounce. Roll through the jump, then punish it while it recovers.

What do you get for beating it?

Every version drops a Saber-toothed Predator Mark and Key, plus Rare Fresh Meat, Rare Beast Bone, Rare Beast Blood, crystals, Sunstone and a Bleeding Mod 3. Butcher the body with a knife for Saber-toothed Predator Hide, Fang and Claw, which you'll use for its armour set and jewellery.

Your first Berserk kill unlocks the Saber-toothed Predator Set (armour, pants, boots, gloves, necklace and ring) in the Knowledge and Technology tree. Your first of Doom kill unlocks the Advanced set and a golden statue. With the Top Hunter hunting promotion, you can also harvest the boss's head as a trophy.

Soulmask in 2026

Soulmask left Early Access with version 1.0 on 9 April 2026. Since then, CampFire Studio has made boss fights fairer, reworking boss skills, disengage timers and health regeneration. On Steam it costs £24.99 / $29.99.
