Conan Exiles Enhanced is coming to PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S in early 2027, Funcom announced on 27 October. It's a free upgrade for everyone who already owns Conan Exiles on PS4 or Xbox One, and full cross-play with PC follows soon after launch. There's no exact release date yet.

Enhanced arrived on Steam as a free update in May 2026, rebuilding the open-world survival game's visuals, UI and performance. Here's what the console version brings, what happens to your saves, bases and Crom Coins, and why Isle of Siptah players need to plan ahead.

When is the Conan Exiles Enhanced PS5 and Xbox release date?

Funcom says early 2027, with the exact release date "to be announced". The studio says it will share the date and further details later. When it's confirmed, our Release Radar will show the countdown.

Is Conan Exiles Enhanced free on PS5 and Xbox?

Yes, for existing owners. If you own Conan Exiles on PlayStation or Xbox, you automatically get access to Enhanced for free when it launches. On consoles, Enhanced is its own game, separate from the old version, which will be renamed Conan Exiles Legacy. New buyers of either version get both. On Steam, the game currently costs £33.99 / $39.99 / €39.99.

Will Conan Exiles Enhanced have cross-play?

Yes. Funcom confirms full cross-play is coming to Conan Exiles Enhanced, soon after launch, and the announcement title says it's cross-play with PC. It won't necessarily be there on day one, so if you're planning to play with friends on other platforms, expect a short wait after release.

What's new in Conan Exiles Enhanced?

Funcom describes it as "a massive upgrade". The console version brings:

  • Big visual improvements to environments, characters, lighting and effects.
  • A redesigned UI.
  • Performance improvements and a range of quality-of-life changes for exploring, building and fighting on current-gen hardware.
  • The Exiled Lands and the Isle of Siptah together in one more seamless world (Siptah is still a separate purchase), so you can travel between the two maps without switching servers.

The Legacy of the Giant-Kings story content and all the new Bazaar items released for Enhanced on Steam will be on consoles at launch, and Funcom plans new content across all platforms "throughout 2027 and beyond".

Will my Conan Exiles saves carry over to Enhanced?

It depends on how you play:

  • Official Exiled Lands servers: they will be updated to Enhanced, and your character, followers and bases carry forward.
  • Single-player: your saves carry over to Enhanced, but not the other way around. Once a save is loaded in Enhanced, it can no longer be opened in Legacy. Funcom warns that if console players can't back up their save files, this change is permanent.
  • Isle of Siptah servers: Siptah servers will merge with Exiled Lands servers. Because the island's coordinates changed to join it to the main map, bases on the Isle of Siptah can't be preserved.
  • Private servers: Funcom says it will explain how players and private server hosts can prepare closer to release.

What happens to Crom Coins and DLC?

Everything you own carries over to Enhanced: Crom Coins, Bazaar items, DLC and Twitch Drops. But once Enhanced launches, the Bazaar will be switched off in Legacy, so Crom Coins will no longer work there. If you plan to keep playing Legacy, Funcom recommends spending your coins before Enhanced comes out. Anything you buy in Enhanced won't apply to Legacy.

Will Conan Exiles Legacy still be supported?

Only lightly. Legacy stays available on consoles and will get fixes for critical bugs, but no new major content or support, no Bazaar and no official servers. You'll still be able to play it in single-player or on a private server.

When is Legacy of the Giant-Kings Part Three?

On 10 November. Funcom says Akhamet takes on a bigger role in the quest this time, "and maybe a bigger part of your experience going forward". More details will be revealed at release.

Why is Funcom doing this now?

Funcom says console players asked for it. "We've heard loud and clear from our console community that they want to experience the Enhanced version of Conan Exiles," said CEO Scott Junior. He added that with the game approaching its 10th anniversary, Funcom hopes to keep supporting it "for hopefully 10 more years".
