Dying Light 2 Nightmare Mode Update Now Live
Techland Releases Dying Light 2’s Nightmare Mode Update
Techland has released the anticipated Dying Light 2 Nightmare Mode Update Now Live for their open world survival horror game Dying Light 2 Stay Human.
This free update introduces a new game mode, Nightmare Mode, offering a new level of challenge for experienced survivors with a reworked stamina and combat system inspired by the first Dying Light and the first game, along with more formidable infected enemies throughout the city of Villedor. Nightmare Mode provides a challenging experience that demands total concentration and extreme caution from players.
The development of Nightmare Mode was significantly influenced by community ideas, incorporating player feedback to enhance the gameplay experience. Nightmare mode significantly reduces player stamina, requiring careful management during parkour and combat, now referred to as 'Tactical Stamina'.
Enemies deal increased damage and are more aggressive in groups, and nightmare mode removes the majority of HUD elements for a more immersive and atmospheric experience. These changes demand strategic thinking and skillful execution from even the hardest of veterans. However, higher quality weapons and inhibitors can now be looted from dangerous new infected variants roaming the zones at night, reminiscent of the original game and a similar mode from the game's launch.
For a glimpse at the heightened tension and stakes of Nightmare mode, check out the latest trailer available on Techland’s social media channels and website. Dying Light 2 Stay Human is available now for purchase on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC with a cloud version also playable on Nintendo Switch. Techland continues supporting this rich open world with more free updates and content planned for the future. Stay tuned for more on the Dying Light 2 Nightmare Mode Update.
