They’re sold through each manufacturer’s website and major retailers.

How much do RTX Spark laptops cost?

NVIDIA’s starting price is $2,599. Microsoft’s Surface Laptop Ultra starts at $2,599.99 in the US and £2,599 in the UK, with 24GB of memory and a 512GB SSD, and rises from there: a 32GB / 1TB model is $3,699.99, and Notebookcheck’s 64GB / 1TB review unit costs $4,299. The most expensive configurations from other brands go well beyond that. These are premium machines, not budget gaming laptops.

What is NVIDIA RTX Spark?

RTX Spark puts NVIDIA’s own processor and graphics on a single chip, a little like Apple’s M-series chips. NVIDIA designed the CPU with MediaTek, and the CPU and GPU share one pool of up to 128GB of memory. That’s a huge amount for a laptop, and it’s mainly aimed at running AI models locally: NVIDIA and Microsoft are pitching these machines at developers, video editors and 3D artists as much as gamers.

NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang said RTX Spark “brings the power of NVIDIA AI, RTX graphics and CUDA together with Microsoft Windows in one PC for creating, gaming and running personal AI agents.”

Can RTX Spark laptops play games?

Yes, but with caveats. NVIDIA lists Cyberpunk 2077, Fortnite, Gears of War: E-Day, Marvel Rivals, World of Warcraft and NBA 2K27 among the games supported at launch, and it says a new, faster DLSS 5 model can raise frame rates by up to 1.4x. NBA 2K27 also uses DLSS 5 with 3D-Guided Neural Rendering.

The catch is that RTX Spark laptops run Windows on Arm. Microsoft explains that apps not built for Arm run through Prism, Windows’ built-in emulator, and most PC games are still built for x86 chips from Intel and AMD. Early reviews show what that means in practice:

Tom’s Hardware got 41–47 FPS in God of War: Ragnarök at 1440p on Ultra with DLSS, and 51–79 FPS at 1080p, on the Surface Laptop Ultra.

Some games didn’t work at all in its testing: Red Dead Redemption 2 wouldn’t run.

Gizmodo found that emulated games take longer to load than on a normal x86 laptop.

Anti-cheat software is often the problem on Arm PCs, so check that your multiplayer games support Windows on Arm before you buy.

Should gamers buy an RTX Spark laptop?

Probably not as a dedicated gaming laptop, at least not yet. A traditional gaming laptop with an RTX 50-series GPU will run more games, more reliably, for less money. RTX Spark makes the most sense if you need a powerful, portable machine for AI, video or 3D work and want to game on the side.
