The Blight: Survival release date<\/strong> hasn’t been announced. Haenir Studio’s medieval co-op horror game, published by Behaviour Interactive<\/strong>, is listed as “To be announced”<\/strong> on Steam. In its October 2026 dev update, the team said it’s “approaching a point” where it can open playtests to more players, with more news teased for Halloween.<\/p>\n

When is the Blight: Survival release date?<\/h2>\n

There’s no release date or window yet. Steam lists Blight: Survival as “To be announced”, and the developers haven’t given a year. In October 2026, with no Blight: Survival release date set, they said they’re “taking the time we need to get things right”, and that wider playtests have taken longer than first planned because they want to “dial things in” before more players get their hands on it.<\/p>\n

The game passed 1.5 million wishlists on Steam<\/strong> in March 2026, after its update at the Future Games Show Spring Showcase. We’ll add the Blight: Survival release date to this page and our Release Radar as soon as it’s announced.<\/p>\n

Is there a Blight: Survival playtest?<\/h2>\n

Yes, but it’s small for now. Haenir has been running limited closed playtests<\/strong> with its “Playtest Squad”, and says the feedback on recent combat changes has been “very encouraging”. What is Blight: Survival?<\/h2>\n

Blight: Survival is set in an alternate 14th century, in the no man’s land between two kingdoms locked in an endless war. A new strain of the Blight<\/strong> has erupted from the remains of the fallen, fed by the blood spilled in battle, and it turns people into monsters. With both kingdoms paralysed, they’ve turned to you and your kin, the Writhens<\/strong>, to reach and destroy the source of the Blight.<\/p>\n

How does a Blight: Survival mission work?<\/h2>\n

The developers describe it as a mission-based PvE action-horror co-op game<\/strong>. Here’s how a run works:<\/p>\n

  1. Start in your stronghold<\/strong> (the hub) and gear up.<\/li>\n
  2. Head into a handcrafted area<\/strong> of the infected lands.<\/li>\n
  3. Explore, scavenge, take on side objectives and push towards your main goal, managing resources and dealing with unpredictable encounters.<\/li>\n
  4. Decide whether to leave early and secure your loot<\/strong> or risk pushing further for better rewards.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    It mixes rogue-lite and extraction ideas with visceral melee combat, against both humans and monsters.<\/p>\n

    Is Blight: Survival co-op?<\/h2>\n

    Yes. You can play solo or with up to 3 friends<\/strong>, and Steam lists online co-op and cross-platform multiplayer. The developers say it’s fully playable solo, while co-op opens up tactics through loadout synergy and teamwork.<\/p>\n
