Destiny 2<\/em> players, prepare for a major update! The long-awaited fix for the infamous “Weightgate” issue is finally arriving tomorrow, November 5. Bungie is not only resolving the bug but also offering Destiny 2 free god-roll guns<\/em> as compensation to the community. This fix and reward package are set to make a huge impact.<\/p>\n

What Happened with Weightgate?<\/h3>\n

Weightgate has been a hot topic in the Destiny 2<\/em> community. Players suspected that certain weapon perk combinations were dropping far less frequently than expected. Despite Bungie’s initial insistence that no “intentional perk weighting” existed, the community’s deep analysis proved otherwise. The data-driven investigation revealed an issue with the perk pool RNG, which Bungie has since confirmed.<\/p>\n

Bungie stated, “After an internal investigation, we found an issue in perk pool RNG affecting weapon drop rates.” This fix is a significant step in restoring player trust and ensuring that Destiny 2<\/em>‘s loot system works as intended.<\/p>\n

How Bungie Is Making Amends<\/h3>\n

Double Drops and Exclusive Rewards<\/h4>\n

To thank players for their patience and assistance in uncovering the bug, Bungie is offering generous rewards. From November 19 to December 3, the Vesper’s Host dungeon will feature double drops for both encounters and activity completions. This is the perfect opportunity for players to grind for their desired weapons or even attempt Master difficulty for Artifice armor.<\/p>\n

“Both weapon and armor rewards can drop from encounter completions,” Bungie explained on X. Players can make the most of this event to hunt down valuable loot and experience a more rewarding grind. But the real highlight comes from the Destiny 2 free god-roll guns<\/em> that will soon be available.<\/p>\n

Gunsmith Exo-44 Offers Curated God-Rolls<\/h4>\n

Starting November 19, players can visit Banshee-44 in the Tower to acquire a selection of god-roll guns. These curated weapons are meant to make up for the difficulty players faced earning specific perk combinations due to the bug. While not every roll will be a perfect 5\/5, Bungie promises that these weapons will still pack a punch.<\/p>\n
