It&#8217;s built around long-range and stealthy play, led by the <strong>R-40 Sightliner<\/strong> bolt-action sniper rifle and the <strong>P-44 Mist<\/strong> one-handed machine pistol.<\/p>\n<p>Arrowhead hasn&#8217;t announced a date for the next major content update yet. Patches usually arrive every few weeks between big updates, so check back here: we update this page when the next one is announced.<\/p>\n<h2>Is the Supply FRV coming back?<\/h2>\n<p>Yes. Arrowhead confirmed in July that the <strong>M-103 Supply FRV<\/strong>, the resupply version of the Fast Recon Vehicle earned during the Census Thunder campaign in June, becomes <strong>permanently available in October 2026<\/strong>. Everyone can unlock it with <strong>Requisition slips<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<h2>What was in the last big update, Devoid of Liberty?<\/h2>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-thumbnail aligncenter wp-image-24628\" src=\"https:\/\/igamemag.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/10\/helldivers-2-battlefield-800x450-1.webp\" alt=\"Helldivers under fire on an alien battlefield in Helldivers 2\" width=\"800\" height=\"450\" srcset=\"https:\/\/igamemag.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/10\/helldivers-2-battlefield-800x450-1.webp 800w, https:\/\/igamemag.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/10\/helldivers-2-battlefield-800x450-1-768x432.webp 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 800px) 100vw, 800px\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>Devoid of Liberty<\/strong> (update 7.0.0) launched on 12 August 2026 and sent Helldivers into the Illuminate Void. It added:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>New Void missions: destroying Illuminate spires and gateways, data reconnaissance and infiltrating Illuminate structures, plus new secondary objectives and an optional second extraction zone.<\/li>\n<li>New Void-mutated enemies, including the fast <strong>Wretch<\/strong> and the regenerating <strong>Crusher<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li><strong>SEAF squadmates<\/strong> who drop in to fight alongside you, hand out stims and respond to salutes, handshakes and hugs.<\/li>\n<li>Illuminate enemies grouped into different <strong>Fleets<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>The <strong>level cap raised to 300<\/strong>, with new rank titles.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>It launched alongside the <strong>Warhammer 40,000 &#8220;Castellan&#8217;s Creed&#8221; Legendary Warbond<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<h2>Is the Helldivers 2 level cap 300?<\/h2>\n<p>Yes. Arrowhead doubled the cap from 150 to <strong>300<\/strong> with Devoid of Liberty. It started at 50 at launch and rose to 150 in April 2024. Arrowhead says reaching 300 takes &#8220;more than double&#8221; the hours of reaching 150, but all the weapons, stratagems and gear that matter for loadouts unlock by around level 25. The progression overhaul also added Galactic War Campaigns and Personal Campaign Progression tracks.<\/p>\n<h2>What did the latest Helldivers 2 patches change?<\/h2>\n<p>Patch <strong>7.1.0<\/strong> (22 September) focused on community feedback and balance:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Enemies no longer target unoccupied vehicles.<\/li>\n<li>Career stats now count kills from mines, vehicles, drones and backpacks.<\/li>\n<li>A rare bug that stopped players being reinforced was fixed.<\/li>\n<li>Each Super Destroyer gets its own <strong>Stratagem Hero<\/strong> leaderboard.<\/li>\n<li>Bug-infested zones look more like the planet they&#8217;re on, with better visibility.<\/li>\n<li>Enemy spawns are balanced more evenly when your squad splits up.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Hotfix <strong>7.1.1<\/strong> followed on 24 September. Arrowhead also ran galactic network maintenance on 6 October.<\/p>\n<h2>What is Arrowhead working on next?<\/h2>\n<p>In his 25 September look back at Devoid of Liberty, creative director Mikael Eriksson said the launch was &#8220;too patchy&#8221;, with crashes and ultra-wide monitor issues that took two follow-up patches to fix. Players asked for more time in the Void and for community choices to shape endings more. Eriksson says the campaign structure (how many phases a campaign runs and how long content stays live) is what the team is iterating on &#8220;for the next big update&#8221;, with stability the priority between updates and a backlog of quality-of-life fixes still to come.<\/p>\n<h2>Is Helldivers 2 still worth playing in 2026?<\/h2>\n<p>Helldivers 2 has a <strong>Mostly Positive<\/strong> rating on Steam (76% of more than 1.1 million reviews) and is still getting regular updates, Warbonds and live Galactic War events more than two and a half years after launch.
